RT615 Acrylic Thickener
RT615 is a very efficient anionic alkali-swellable thickener, a highly cross-linked polyacrylic emulsion with a molecular chain length 2 to 3 times that of ASE-60. Paints with RT615 as the main thickener have a high yield value and are suitable for formulating brushed paints with spiked three-dimensional patterns.
- High thickening rate and excellent thixotropy
- Has high pseudoplasticity
- Antibacterial and anti-mildew

Recommended Dosage and Usage Method
The addtion of RT615 Acrylic Thickener is 0.5~1.0% to the total amount of paint (finished form), the specific dosage should be subject to experimentation.
Before use, adjust the pH of the thickening system to 8~9 with alkali, then dilute RT615 with water at a 1:3 ratio, slowly add it while stirring at low speed, and stir for more than 30 minutes.
RT615 is well-suited to high, medium, and low-PVC systems due to its high degree of crosslinking. It is recommended that the coating viscosity be used for the first time after 24 hours to prevent rapid increases in system viscosity after the dosage.
RT615 Application

Acrylic Thickener Package and Storage
RT615 acrylic thickener should be sealed and placed in a cool, dry, and ventilated place. If it cannot be used up at one time, the lid should be tightened after use to prevent caking or skinning.
Two packaging methods: 25 kg or 200 kg plastic drum packaging.

FAQ About RT615 Acrylic Thickener
RT615 is insensitive to emulsions and emulsifiers, and has strong versatility in various formulation systems, making it a complete replacement for HEC high-molecular-weight cellulose thickeners.
It is recommended to use RT615 in combination with RM-2020 to improve water resistance and achieve ideal flow properties, thus achieving the desired effect.
Latex paints, exterior wall coatings, waterproof coatings, floor coatings, etc.
It depends on the formula. Generally, it is still recommended to use a dispersant to achieve better system stability.
It can improve anti-drip performance, but it may reduce some leveling properties. Therefore, it can be used in combination with leveling agents or synergistic thickening agents.
