RT5180 Acrylic Thickener
RT5180 is a high solid content anionic base-swellable thickener, a polyacrylic emulsion with a high degree of association, containing partially hydrophobic and hydrophilic modified structures. It effectively increases low- to medium-shear viscosity, giving the coating excellent fluidity and scrub resistance.

Package and Storage
Celotech Ruico’s RT5180 is protected from microbial contamination during transportation and storage in its original, unopened packaging. During processing and in open packaging, hygiene should be maintained to avoid microbial contamination. In some cases, adding a biocide may be an effective way to avoid microbial problems.
The product is available in 25kg/barrel and 200kg/barrel specifications, and customised packaging can also be provided upon request.

Can the use of RT5180 replace cellulose ether?
RT5180 has good pigment compatibility and can be used alone as a thickener or in combination with other thickeners
The use of both depends on the performance requirements of the coating and the application environment. RT-5180 is better suited to construction thickeners with high viscosity and high solid content, while cellulose ether is better suited to coatings with medium to low viscosity and high stability requirements.
