What Is a Water-Based Dispersant?
A water-based dispersant is a chemical additive to ensure the uniform distribution and long-term stability of paints, coatings, and inks. It stabilizes solid particles within an aqueous medium by reducing interfacial tension and preventing agglomeration. Celotech Ruico is strong at producing user-friendly water-based dispersants with the following characteristics.
- Strong dispersibility with wetting properties
- Low foam generation when grinding
- Good color development
- Cost-effective and Low dosage
- Suitable for tough organics & carbon black to inorganics.

Our waterborne dispersing agents can keep pigments and fillers evenly dispersed for consistent performance and speed up the working efficiency.

Celotech Ruico is able to formulate specialized water-based dispersants with stability on storage, avoiding sedimentation and agglomeration.

We can help you improve gloss, smoothness, and surface quality with premium paint dispersants and increase paint and coating durability.
Water-Based Dispersing Agents Uses
Our water-based dispersants are designed for the applications of paint, coating, inks and pigment pastes with targeted performances.

Our waterborne dispersing agents in paint ensure even pigment distribution, improving color uniformity and stability. They work effectively in a variety of water-based paints, including architectural paints, latex paints, interior and exterior wall paints. By reducing viscosity, they make the paints easier to apply and handle. With excellent compatibility, they can enhance gloss and water resistance in all these formulations, making it ideal for residential and specialty paint applications.

We designed dispersing agents for water-based coatings such as industrial coating, wood coating, protective or decoractive coatings. They can provide smooth and consistent coating finishes, keeping pigments well dispersed and stable. They also help maintain stable viscosity, prevent pigment flocculation during mixing and storage, and improve coating flow, leveling, and finish quality. Compatible with a wide range of resins, they ensure reliable performance in both commercial and industrial applications.

Our dispersing agents can make pigments evenly and stably dispersed in water-based inks, improving color consistency. They reduce the viscosity during the grinding or mixing process, so the inks can be easier to handle and maintain uniform flow. Our dispersants were developed with excellent storage stability, which can prevent pigment aggregation. Their compatibility with both organic and inorganic pigments ensures reliable performance across various ink formulations.

Celotech Ruico dispersants can help prevent clumping and control the pigments evenly suspended in concentrated pastes. They are engineered to improve paste flow and workability, simplify the mix and process. With enhanced storage stability, they can ensure consistent color performance over time. They deliver reliable results in a wide range of high-concentration pigment formulations, suitable for both organic and inorganic pigments.
Packaging and Storage
Celotech Ruico water-based dispersants are generally packed in plastic drums with 30kg and 200kg two volumes, and also support tailored packaging with other specification.
We suggest you store the dispersants in dry and well-ventilated areas and keep away from the direct sunlight. The optimal storage temperature is between 5 and 35 degrees and the shelf life is 12 months.

FAQ About Water-Based Dispersants
Yes, our water-based dispersants are VOC-free, APEO-free, with international environmental regulations.
Different pigment type and concentration are different in dosage. For example, 1–5% for titanium dioxide, 3–10% for organic pigments, and 0.5–2% for calcium carbonate relative to pigment weight. Please contact us with your system details.
Water-based (liquid) dispersants are easier to use and mix, give more uniform pigment dispersion, and improve color and flow. Powder dispersants generally lower in cost, but need extra complete dissolving and stirring and may cause dust pollution.
Sure, please email us with your system and formulation requirements, our teams will provide full-formula solutions accordingly.
Yes. We keep the same formula and control each batch with QC testing to ensure consistency.
