Product ApplicationsÂ
Chemical wetting agents play a crucial role in the production of water-based industrial coatings by reducing interfacial tension, enabling pigment particles to be more quickly coated by the liquid, and achieving a more uniform distribution. This not only enhances the system’s stability but also reduces problems such as layering and colour floating that may occur during subsequent construction processes.
By improving the wetting efficiency of pigments, it enhances the colouring power (up to approximately 10% – 20%), reduces grinding viscosity, makes processing smoother, improves storage stability, and reduces sedimentation problems.
In ink application, chemical wetting agents significantly affect the flow and transfer behavior during printing. Excellent wetting properties enable the ink to spread more evenly on the substrate surface, enhancing transfer efficiency and thereby reducing ink smearing and interruption phenomena.
In addition, chemical wetting agents improve the coating’s ability to wet and spread on the substrate, reduce surface issues such as pinholes, and enhance the smoothness of the construction process, making the film formation more uniform and flat.
